Test Your Message

WEL provides the unique feature of testing your fax and text-to-speech message prior to the actual broadcast.

You do not have to test your message, but it is recommended that you do so.

You can submit your message for testing a maximum of three times per fax broadcast and an unlimited number of times for text-to-speech broadcasts.

Why Should I Test My Fax Document?

When your document is converted to fax format, it may not appear exactly the way you expect. A one page document may occasionally be converted into two pages and you may need to change your document layout to ensure that the converted version fits into one page. If you don't test it, in the above example you may be charged more than what you expected.

Long faxes (in excess of 2 minutes transmission time per page) attract a long fax surcharge so for an accurate quote it is important to test your fax.

Why Should I Test My Text-to-Speech Message?

Sometimes you may think you have accurately captured your message, but when you hear it played back, you may realize that the message could be improved. You may need to add more information to ensure the recipient understand the context of the message, or you may have simply not been clear enough with the content with your previous attempt.
